Here on the East Coast the Sun is just beginning to shine its warming rays up before it on the horizon at 6 a.m. I watched as the world around me began to wake up. Today as you rise with the Sun, the Moon will be at 14 degrees in the sign of Cancer. Today this gentle energy and mood of Cancer may inspire you to feel and appreciate so much more of the beauty of our mother earth! This Cancer energy rules the Mother in all of us. It inspires a gentle nurturance of our children and our families and those whom we care so much about. Early this morning in the time before 8:06 a.m., the Moon in Cancer will form a square to Venus in Aries. You may want to take it slow. It could be hard to stay positive and to feel safe and secure in areas which have to do with finances or security. You may want to do some self talk and find positive ways to express what you are feeling. Patience may not be the easiest thing to have. Emotions and feelings around love or finances may require some extra attention this morning. In the period of time before 9:15 a.m. the Sun in Pisces and the Moon in Cancer will be forming a beautiful trining energy to each other. This means that the universe is providing an open door for you to pamper yourself. You may find that the energy to feel and express your deepest emotions will flow easily. The gentler things in life may be exactly what is available now to nourish your vitality. It could be very easy for you to let your imagination wonder and to feel the bliss of this beautiful energy that is around you. At exactly 12:17 p.m. this afternoon Venus in Aries will move into its sleepy, retrograde motion. It will remain in this inward turned energy until April 17th. Venus rules over areas such as love, security, finances, values & beauty. Venus retrograde has a way of bringing up issues from the past in these areas. As Venus is in Aries it will influence self learning and a sense of impatience to look deeper into areas which are unresolved. You may find yourself having to deal with past debts during this time. The impulsive nature of Aries may influence an inner need to take care of yourself first. Please be aware if you looking for love, be careful of making impulsive decisions. The first 2 weeks of Venus retrograde may be a little difficult. You may find that your self esteem is low or that business and financial endeavors are slow. Around March 27th activities may increase as the Sun, Moon & Mercury join with Venus and creates the possibility for an impulsive nature to act and surface. The first week of April may present challenges in past relationships and/or with financial debts. You may want to watch the happenings with the world financial markets. There may be some further challenges which surface. One of the strongest challenges during this retrograde will be in your relationship with yourself and your issues around security or love. This retrograde period will be a good time to draw toward yourself and to take a deeper look at what you are feeling or experiencing in these areas. This really isn't a good time for making decisions but for exploring deeper into what you can do to improve your relationship with others, but first start with yourself. You may want to use this retrograde time to talk about, review and discuss what has worked well before and what has not. Whatever house Venus is transitting through in your chart and the aspects it forms will be what is highlighted in your life during this 5 week period. My advice is use this time to take a good look at your finances. Avoid making any major purchases as the true worth of something you desire may be harder to recognize. However if your a good shopper and know the underlying value of items you are interested in, this time can reveal some real bargains! Take it slow in personal relationships. What seemed good may turn out to be something less then you expected. This can be a good time to experiment but not to decide. Another words don't agree to marry someone you just met! Avoid making any redecorating or changes to your appearance. What you feel like right now may not be what you will be happy with when the retrograde is over. Take it very slow as Venus goes back to work through some further challenges with Pluto in Capricorn around the beginning of April. Challenges in finances, love relationships and security avenues may take some extra effort and time to figure out. This afternoon the Moon in Cancer will sextile Saturn in Virgo retrograde and this evening the Moon will trine Uranus in Pisces. This afternoon will provide opportunities for structure and for caring and nurturing the material side of your needs. You may have the opportunity to look at things in a more detailed manner. And the early evening may provide and open door for you to change and adapt with ease to experiences that you are encountering. You may find that it is easy to flow with the changes that are occurring. It is possible that you may have some spiritual insight that awakens you to look at things in a different way. The Moon will move into its void of course motion at exactly 7:29 p.m. tonight. At this time the Moon will be at 22 degrees in Cancer. It will remain in this emotionally, unstable energy until Saturday morning at 8:24 a.m. Tonight will be a good night to enjoy the comforts of your home and family. The Moon will be moving through the energy of Leo all weekend. The mood that Leo inspires is fun, creativity, romance, games and anything which allows your child within to express its heart. It will be a great weekend to get out and play and to spend time with friends or with members of your community! Don't forget to set your clocks ahead on Saturday night before you go to bed.
